Solution
The cultural population that I selected was HIV positive people that are above 13 years of age or older.
The health issue that I selected is the lack of knowledge related to testing and the negative impacts that this knowledge deficit has on people that are unknowingly HIV positive. The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (2020), states, “85.8 percent of persons aged 13 years and over living with HIV were aware of their HIV infection in 2017” (Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 2020). 85 % is not enough when it involves spreading HIV.
