  4. Rules of grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation are followed and consistent with formal, scientific writing.
  5. Title page, body of paper, and reference page must follow APA guidelines as found in the current edition of the manual. This includes the use of headings for each section of the paper except for the introduction where no heading is used.
  6. Ideas and information that come from scholarly literature must be cited and referenced correctly.
  7. A minimum of three (3)scholarly literature references must be used.

SOLUTION

Caring is part of human nature. It is an essential human attribute that people demonstrate toward each other. In nursing, it is one of the fundamentals that Florence Nightingale introduced. (Lisa Y Adams 2016) I believe this past year, nursing was brought to the limelight, especially with many families losing their loved ones to Covid 19, and they could not be at their bedside but rather depended on nursing to be there for their loved one at their bedside end of life.

When one mentions nursing, the word caring as an adjective comes to mind. In my perspective, caring in nursing is the act of going above and beyond for your patient and family. One of Watson’s carative that resonates with me is “caring is creating a mental, physical, and spiritual environment that is supportive, corrective, and protective of human dignity.” (Kornusky & Karakashian 2021).
