Evidence Synthesis

Over 4 million people die each year from a disease that can be prevented and or reversed (WHO, 2022). Obesity is a global health burden linked to comorbidities such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and even cancers. This practice problem is identified in the adult population with a BMI greater than or equal to 30. The research methods include a quantitative cross-sectional design, a quantitative cluster randomized control trial, and a qualitative meta- synthesis. The purpose is to present a synthesis of evidence using three sources of the literature that highlight the national practice problem of obesity.
